Debated for awhile how to treat the American productions of Rose Rage, since it used primarily American actors. While part of me feels like it's cheating, it's still useful to examine this version, especially in conjunction with the original staging.
The New York Times review outlines how the script was adapted and the affect achieved by the abatoir setting. The performances, however, are found lacking overall.
The New Yorker was largely not impressed, but fleshes out (excuse the expression) the images of butchery as a metaphor for the deaths incurred.
If those three don't satisfy your blood lust, The New York Times also did a feature outlining even more specifics as to how the meat is replenished and how the affect is achieved death by gruesome death.
