Taming and Twelfth Night go together like critics and praise for the productions. Here, watch...
The NY Post gave a three-star joint review, calling Dugald Bruce-Lockhart "utterly seductive" and hailing the "complex androgyny" of Tam Williams' Viola.
The Gurdian praises both, giving nice detail to some of the moments in Twelfth Night, but admits part of the power of Taming is its repellent nature.
To get a taste of all the nice things said about the production, you can check out the review round-up at WhatsOnStage.com, with especial praise given to Dugald Bruce-Lockhart, Tam Williams, Simon Scardifield and Tony Bell.
This was clearly not New York Magazine's first time at the dance, and they were thrilled with the return of the boys, particularly lauding Simon Scardifield.
I bristle whenever someone talks about "what Shakespeare had in mind," but I'll let it slide since The Wall Street Journal is otherwise quite inclined towards the plays, once again singling out Mr. Scardifield.
