"They aced it."

Stuff went into The Winter's Tale unfamiliar with the play, and came out with nothing but praise. The actors had "absolute mastery of the language, and their performances were faultless across the board" the female roles were "stunning," and the two tones of the play were hit "perfectly." The conclusion?

Despite staying completely true to Shakespeare's script, they delivered a play so full of life and energy that it could just as well have been written this year.
