Michael Coveney gives a
great review from Cheltenham, calling both shows "fantastic". He finds
Henry V to be the better of the two, as it is "best suited to the all action man throb of testosterone". Though he missed women in
The Winter's Tale, he does say the doubling of
Ben Allen is a "potent portent".
Dugald Bruce-Lockhart is credited with one of the "most affecting scenes" as his Antigonus cradles an abandoned baby, and
Tony Bell is said to give a "knock-out performance as an Iggy Pop-style Autolycus".
Much of the rest of Coveney's review centers on press day and the Everyman Theatre itself, but ends with the sentiment "Propeller has all the propulsion".
